Clothing Upgrade

The weekend is half over already! Where does the time go? It'll soon be time to return to work. I'm going back to work part-time in the next few weeks. I think it'll be hard but I guess it has to be done sooner or later. In the meantime I've been enjoying the fact that Lydia has graduated to newborn clothes! That's right, she is TOO BIG for preemie clothes! SOOO... here are some photos from the past week of little Lydia.
Here she is in a cute outfit that Annie and Douglas got for her. It's actually got a bunny hopping around the bottom of the dress. Cute or what?! The following photo is Lydia in an outfit that Linda and Monty got for her. I didn't know if the pants would fit, but they do!!! Gary doesn't mind these pants because they're baggy and he doesn't have to fight with them too much :)This pic just goes to show how big she is now! When our neighbours got this outfit for her, it looked really massive! Now she fits it just right :) She is filling up that bassinet and getting chunkier all the time. The pic does make her look a bit bigger than what she really is though as she has the strap for the monitor that goes around her chest. She's actually still a bit weedy. Aaah. Now here's a fashion statement.
Not sure if you can really see in this pic, but Lydia's eyes are still trying to decide what colour they are. They look brown to me and they'll probably be brown in the end... but every now and again they have a blue/green/grey colour to them.

Oh btw these photos were taken on separate days. I really love her looking so cute, but I'm not to the point where I want to change her outfit 10 times a day!! Although she did have 2 outfits today as she is Queen of upchuck these days. I left her in a purple outfit and when I came back to the room, Gary had her in a green one! She is growing all the time and is also starting to put herself on a 3 1/2 - 4 hour feeding schedule right now. We're still having a bit of fussiness late at night, but nothing that is too difficult to handle.
Well tomorrow is the superbowl. It's one last Sunday of American football for the season. Yes, I watch it. I'm quite the sports addict to be honest. I can pretty much get hooked on any sport I watch. Ping pong, badminton, tennis, golf, cricket, baseball, basketball, racing, curling, fencing...I think it's because I'm just in awe as I can't play sports to save my life. I have no balance, no sense of direction, don't really care to compete... I'd much rather watch it from the sidelines. If I can't play, I might as well watch and criticize the way they play instead! So they usually have some funny ads on TV throughout the superbowl game. Apparently there are going to be ads on TV that are 3D. Gary picked up our free 3D glasses from one of the supermarkets today so that we're prepared. Cabin fever? Not us! We know how to party, even if we're stuck in the house for the winter ;)

I've been thinking about that as well. Since I have them she may get that from me!! We just have to wait and see when she gets older.

Awww! She is really getting bigger! I enjoy your blog posts! And I'm glad you clarified the pics were on separate days, because I thought you were just giving us a fashion show. HE HE. xo
